This has to be one of the most romantic gestures ever! My sis-in-law Leigh pieced this quilt for my brother and used pieces of some of his old dress shirts. THEN she had me quilt it using lyrics to the song “I Will” by the Beatles. If you don’t know the words to the song, go read them! Beautiful and sweet and, again, SO romantic. And it just so happens, too, that quilting lyrics on a quilt looks really great.
I hadn’t written in cursive in a looooong time. It took a few lines before I felt like things were looking pretty and smooth. I even had to look up a few letters (“So wait. How do you do a capital F in cursive again???”). It turned out pretty great, though, and my brother is a pretty lucky guy! 🙂
That is so cool. I’m like you, I don’t write cursive, either.
Thanks Jan! It was actually a lot of fun. 🙂

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!
Bestill my heart! That is awesome. Such a perfect song. Dan is one lucky guy.
That is a neat idea!
Oh my gosh, this is probably the most awesome quilting idea ever!!! Is this an option when potential customers send you quilts? I have one that I’m working on – still finishing up the back, but I think this would be the perfect type of quilting….
Hi, Elisabeth!
Thanks for your comment! This is absolutely an option! It’s very simple, actually, and we can customize it to whatever you want. I would love to quilt it for you! 🙂
