About

Hello!  My name is Emily Sessions and this is my little blog that I began to keep family, friends, and clients informed on what’s happening with Emerson Quilting, my longarm quilt design business.  I have been sewing since high school and  decided to take my passion for quilt making to the next level by purchasing an Innova longarm quilting machine and starting this business.  My work is 100% free-hand; no computers or pantographs here!!  I would love to work with you and help you finish your quilts!

  1. Hi!
I found you through a blog search and was wondering if you could give me some information. I have a twin sized quilt in the pattern “shortcake” from the blog ‘cluck cluck see’ done in the ‘ruby’ fabric line. I would like to have it quilted; but am not sure how. I also live in Wisconsin. I normally back my quilts in fluffy, fuzzy blankets from Target; but am wondering with a long arm if it would be better to use a flat flannel sheet?! This will be my little girl’s bedding when she moves to a big girl bed. Any ideas on quilting patterns and pricing estimates along with time frame estimates would be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much!

  2. Emily just finished quilting my double sized quilt. She is talented and easy to work with. It was a pleasure! THANKS, Emily!
